Are Businesses Undermining Democracy?

From special access to power, to lobbying efforts, to political contributions, to funded research and rigged bidding processes the ways in which corporations weild power and influence is enormous. The Stanford hosted conference below involving a group of US business schools got together to explore the power imbalances that increasingly risk putting corporate interests above those of citizens and that pose a threat to democracy. – David Thornley

“There is an urgent need for business schools to tackle the challenge of creating a proper balance of power between corporations, governments, and citizens,” says Professor Anat Admati. 450 people gathered online for a three-day Stanford Graduate School of Business event titled the Conference on Corporations and Democracy.
