What Are the Best Policies to Tackle Climate Change?

Tackling the changes posed by climate change and putting the world on a sound ecological footing is the defining issue of the next generation. Those at the forefront in developing workable policy solutions must often struggle with people who think they are talking a foreign language, or that they are out to destroy the economy as they know it.

But the truth is that the economy based on the rapid depletion of fossil fuels is both wasteful and unsustainable. The good news is that those preparing our path forward are getting better and better in describing what it will take, how the pieces fit together, and the progress milestones we need to reach by 2030, 2040 and 2050.

Most impressive to me are tools such as the energy policy simulator described in the article below. Both educational and evidence-based, it maps out the challenges, the way forward and the economic and social benefits of taking the journey.
