The coming war on the hidden algorithms that trap people in poverty

These real scenarios in this expose published recently in the MIT Technology Review, paints a disturbing picture of how such algorithms can seriously destabilize the financial security and access to services of many disadvantaged groups. Thankfully, many advocates and lawyers are slowly coming t0o grips with the need for better oversight. – David Thornley
