The tragedy of avoidable deaths in many of Canada’s long-term care homes has resulted from a generation of neglect and funding models that extract profits at the expense of proper care. Leading experts have been pointing out the deficiencies of our current warehousing models of care for many years. Its long past time to act as this CBC story illustrates. – David Thornley
